Greetings it is my hope, fervent prayer and heartfelt desire that this invitation finds each of you whom is reading it with an open head, heart and hand. I am a strong believer that we must activate a view of holistic love that streams beyond creed, color, nationality and especially religion. An EQUAL MOVE has an interfaith heritage that creates the servant leaders and community activists that many of you have come to know, love and partner

Christmas at the Watershed!
We couldn't be at our normal Christmas spot...serving and helping at home in the "A" so we found a spot in Little Rock to continue what we do year round...service.....this was so meaningful because we were able to do it with our family and we hadn't done that in years.... Praise God for a family whose matriarchal foundation is built on the ministry of service.....
Later we headed home to love on each other and share in the ministry of family..
NIMBY EFFECT: (Not In My Back Yard) For many years the NIMBY EFFECT has been a key component of disgruntled relations between those living in the community and those trying to empower or change the community. This effect has no bearing of severity based upon the latter group as inhabitants of the community or not. The inner tapestry woven by unfavorable experiences lived through by those in the community often seeds this response towards those trying to change, uplift or empower the community. Albeit a justifiable legal or law enforcement response to a once or recurring circumstance, or an overzealous retaliation to a happenstance by a near neighbor, the NIMBY EFFECT has proven to be a disruptive deterrent to forward progress.
When looked upon as a reason to igniting the community to move forward this effect takes on another persona. When those within the community are weary of unwanted or unwarranted behaviors, actions or unaccepted social norms (i.e. fighting, vandalism, prostitution, drug abuse and sales, vagrancy, domestic and terroristic violence, truancy, etc.) then actions are taken to remove and alleviate all or some of the aforementioned.

Plenary Session on Community Involvement: Displaced Inner-City Youth during Summer Break
The neighborhoods and communities between Broadway Avenue (even to Main Street) to Battery Street (even as far as Woodrow Street) with Roosevelt Road and Daisy Bates Avenue serving as exterior boundaries have seen its share of popularity within the courtrooms, hospital emergency rooms, newspapers, television reports and sadly the funeral homes. Within the last two weeks there have been multiple shootings resulting in death and severe injury. It is unfortunate that the racing movement of law enforcement agencies and first responders have become a socially acceptable norm within these communities. There has been a time in the past where that was not the norm nor was it readily or easily acceptable. The frequency of these agencies within these communities is seemingly elevated during the afternoons between the hours of 3pm to 6pm and midmornings between the hours of 12am and 3am.
On 4 June 2012 several community leaders came together to meet to discuss how we can help the youth whom are normally displaced within these communities during summer break. A small grant has been allocated by a local community entity to create, develop and implement a summer program to help combat the heighten crimes and/or unwelcomed actions, behaviors or social norms from youth ages 14 to 18.

And if it seems evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: "but, as for me and my house we shall serve the LORD." Joshua 25:14
